29th May 2005: The Andrew Clark Memorial 6-a-side competition reached a memorable climax at the end of a great afternoon of frantic 6-a-side cricket. The eventual winners were the invitation team put together by Mark and Roger Miller. They defeated Matt's Marvels in the final. The Plate final was won by Amport 'A' who defeated Amport 'B'. There had been many highlights but chief among them must have been the brief innings of Tim Clarke who hit the first three balls he faced, which also happened to be the first balls of the game, for six and as a consequence had to retire. All together a great afternoon and one that 'Clarky' would have loved to have been part of. Well done to Andy Hooper and thanks to all the umpires, scorers, tea ladies who helped make it such an enjoyable afternoon. To see any of the pictures in full size simply click on the thumbnail. |
