Match report On Sat the 5th of June Andover 's 3rd Xi travelled down to Wellow and Plaitford. Andover won the toss and elected to bat first. Andover had a steady start and at the tenth over we were 43 for 2 after losing both openers J Andrews (23) and J Halle-Smith (7). Not long after the wicket of A Holman fell and andover were 46 for 3 off 12 overs. P Barnard (27) and J Blackburn (15) managed to keep the runs coming before both fell. The only other two batsmen that managed to hold it together was J Everett (66 not out) and P Roberts (28). Andover closed the innings on a fair 202 for 9. After tea Andover took to the field but managed to drop opener Weaver in the second over on 6 and he went on to make 63 and put Wellow in a good position. Andover worked hard in the field and the bowlers gave it all they had. With two more catches not going Andovers way the opposition were gaining in on the total.In the end they achieved the total with 25 balls spare. Wickets went to P Roberts 2/44, D Turner 1/27, P van der Westhuizen 1/22, D Cope 2/33 and E Duckworth 1/47. Andover will tommorrow play against United Services at London Road 2.
