Match report Andover IV's lost another difficult match this past Saturday, as they were beaten by South Wilts IV by 46 runs.

Andover won the toss and elected to take the new ball, putting South Wilts in for a bat. After a strong opening stand by Pittman (48) and Shellum (38), Fran Andrews finally made the breakthrough. Fran (10 overs, 4 for 27) and Alex Aldridge (5 overs, 3 for 26) then spun their way through the away team's line up on a blustery day, limiting them to 178-9 off their 42 overs.

Unfortunately, Andover's upper order batsmen weren't able to make the same contribution, struggling 52-5 before James Frecknall (24) provided a bright spark in the 7th wicket stand with Phil Knight (11). At 83-6, Matt Goodman (17*) and Dan Leavesley (12) dropped anchor and salvaged a bit of pride, but it wasn't enough as Andover was only able to make 132-9 in pursuit of the total.
