Match report The 2nds won a one-sided friendly against an under-strength Sparsholt side by 114 runs. Andover batted first and amassed a huge total of 310 for 4 in their 40 overs.

The young opening pairing of Robbie Hadfield (30)and Shawn Attwood (71) set the pace with some aggressive strokeplay, and new ACC chairman, Paul Funnell, continued the scoring with a quick fire 37.

Steve Ott marked his debut for the club with a dominating innings of 80 which included two huge sixes, and Luke Andrews supported with a stylish 69 not out.

Sparsholt played positively, but were never going to seriously challenge such a big total. Andover took wickets regularly and Sparsholt were dismissed for 196. James Knight and Luke Andrews were the pick of the bowlers picking up 3 wickets each.
