Match report Andover 3rd XI travelled to Steeple Langford for the first warm-up game of the season. Andover lost the toss and were asked to bat first. Openers Ed Duckworth and Richard Channon started off rapid. Duckworth started well before being bowled on 27 bringing in Jody Everett scored 14 and Pete van der Westhuizen made 33. Channon held the innings together eventually being dismissed for 81. Harry Vise, Brendan Clarke and Alex Aldridge all went cheaply for less then 5 runs, but Matt Goodman (26) and Dan Turner (42) gave produced valuable tail-end contributions, with Turner hitting a maiden six in adult cricket. Andover ended on 268 for 8. Andover's bowlers and fielders were well disiplinned in the field and wickets fell frequently. Steeple Langford managing a total of 99 before being dismissed, only one batsman making double figures. Wickets went to Dan Turner 4 for 12, Alex Aldridge 2 for 9, with a wicket a piece for Pete Van Der Westhuizen, James Duckworth and Harry Vize.
