Match report Andover 4th's entertained Hungerford 2nd's on Saturday and came away with a win by 177 runs. With regular captain Matt Goodman away it was left to Tim Brown to deputise. Hungerford won the toss and asked Andover to bat first following heavy overnight rain. The home side slipped to 48 for 3 following some tight early bowling and a couple of loose shots. It was left to Tim Brown and Alex Aldridge to rescue matters with a partnership of 140. Both began slowly and gradually began to cut loose as the Hungerford bowling wilted in the mid afternoon sun. Brown was eventually out for 70 and Aldridge went on to make a career best 80. A quick fire 39 not out from Dan De-Heaume allowed Andover to reach 262 for 5 in their 42 overs.

Chasing a large target was always going to be a tall order for Hungerford and good early bowling from John Foster kept the pressure on. At 60 for no wicket the Hungerford batsmen were looking to accelerate when Brown introduced spinners Aldridge and Fran Andrews. They took 6 wickets between them with Andrews finishing with superb figures of 5 for 20. Hungerford never looked like getting the runs required and were all out for 85 with Dave Richards claiming a late wicket
