Stockbridge v Andover Cricket Club 5th XI (Sat) on Sat 06 Aug 2011 at 2:00pm
Andover Cricket Club Lost by one wicket

Match report Andover fifth team fell to a narrow two-wicket defeat after a tense finish with local rivals Stockbridge.
After losing the toss and being inserted to bat, stand-in skipper Chris Hooper wasted no time getting his side on the front foot.
Racing to 20 off the first three overs, Andover were looking good, but the loss of Hooper’s opening partner Richard Channon and then number three Richard Woodley in the space of two overs proved to be a setback.
Mike Adams provided an able foil for Hooper, picking up 26 before he fell, and Hooper got to 40 before he was bowled in the over before drinks.
Still, at 80-4 Andover were in a strong position and, with the in-form Nilesh Deshpande starting to hit his straps, the visitors looked to post a big total.
However, the host’s bowling attack caused plenty of problems for Andover’s middle order as a host of batsmen came and went.
Desphpande eventually fell for 55 as Andover were bowled out for 180.
In reply, Andover’s opening pair of Robbie Taylor and Mike Adams restricted the hosts to few scoring chances.
Adams remained wicketless, but Taylor claimed an early wicket and first change bowler Rowan Duckworth picked up another with a tight spell.
Stockbridge’s Dave Ling proved to be the thorn in Andover’s side, however, as he patiently saw out the Andover openers and then went on the attack as visitors switched to spin in the middle of the innings.
With wickets in hand and with Ling at the crease, Stockbridge were always favourites to win despite being slightly behind the run rate at the halfway mark.
Taylor picked up another wicket and a smart run out, Aidan Jansen was unfortunate to remain wicketless despite a probing double spell and Duckworth claimed three wickets as Stockbridge showed signs of nervousness with the finish line in sight.
But Ling remained undefeated on 88 and, despite being dropped with an over to go, guided his side over the line with five balls to spare.
