It was unanimously agreed at the AGM held in December 2011 to accept the Executive Committee’s proposal to change the subscription, match fee and indoor nets fee model. The basic principle is that the annual playing subscription will now include membership, match fees and indoor net fees.
There are two levels of membership “Premier” and “Gold”
Premier Card is aimed at 1st and 2nd team players. It includes membership of Andover Cricket Club, a numbered membership card, match fees for any match played by Andover Cricket Club in 2012, and all fees for adult indoor nets provided by Andover Cricket Club. Anyone in the club can hold a Premier Card, even if you do not regularly play for the 1st or 2nd team, it just means wherever you play for the club your fees are covered. Premier Card costs £200 or £120 for students and unemployed.
Gold is aimed at 3rd, 4th and 5th team players. It includes membership of Andover Cricket Club, a numbered membership card, match fees for any match played by 3rd team, 4th team or 5th team in a Saturday league match in 2012, all friendlies and Sunday games in 2012, and all fees for adult indoor nets provided by Andover Cricket Club. A Gold Card member selected for the 1st or 2nd team in a Saturday league match will have to pay a match fee for those games of £8 or £5 concessions. Gold Card costs £160 or £100 for students and unemployed.
Andover Youth Members up to U16 can upgrade their membership to Gold Card status by paying £50, this includes a numbered membership card, and for adult matches only, match fees for any match played by 3rd team, 4th team or 5th team in a Saturday league match in 2012, all friendlies and Sunday games in 2012, and all fees for adult indoor nets provided by Andover Cricket Club.
Andover Youth members who have not upgraded will need to pay adult match fees and adult net fees.
There is also a social membership costing £10 for infrequent players who will be required to pay match fees and indoor net fees per the subscription table.
Friends of Andover Cricket Club can also join as Non Playing Members for £10 per year and enjoy membership benefits.
Your membership card will give you access to special offers during the year on bar promotions, and other discounts and promotions the club from time to time will offer.
I urge you all to take up the option of the Premier or Gold Cards. It will give significant savings to regular players, gives you a one time payment for your entire cricket in 2012.
It gives the club, financial stability at the beginning of the season when we have significant costs, saves a lot of administration headaches in collecting match fees and net fees and gives us a wider membership to include your non playing friends and family. We have exciting times ahead at Andover Cricket Club especially with potential ground developments discussed at the AGM.
We are launching this scheme on Sunday 22 January 2012 at the first indoor net session at John Hanson. All you need to bring is cash or one cheque payable to Andover Cricket Club to cover your subscription or split your subscription into 4 cheques dated 1 February 2012, 1 March 2012, 1 April 2012 and 1 May 2012. You will then start to enjoy your all inclusive net sessions for the rest of the winter immediately.
