It was unanimously agreed at the AGM held in December 2011 to accept the Executive Committee’s proposal to change the subscription, match fee and indoor nets fee model. The basic principle is that the annual playing subscription will now include membership, match fees and indoor net fees.

There are two levels of membership “Premier” and “Gold”

Premier Card is aimed at 1st and 2nd team players. It includes membership of Andover Cricket Club, a numbered membership card, match fees for any match played by Andover Cricket Club in 2012, and all fees for adult indoor nets provided by Andover Cricket Club. Anyone in the club can hold a Premier Card, even if you do not regularly play for the 1st or 2nd team, it just means wherever you play for the club your fees are covered. Premier Card costs £200 or £120 for students and unemployed.

Gold is aimed at 3rd, 4th and 5th team players. It includes membership of Andover Cricket Club, a numbered membership card, match fees for any match played by 3rd team, 4th team or 5th team in a Saturday league match in 2012, all friendlies and Sunday games in 2012, and all fees for adult indoor nets provided by Andover Cricket Club. A Gold Card member selected for the 1st or 2nd team in a Saturday league match will have to pay a match fee for those games of £8 or £5 concessions. Gold Card costs £160 or £100 for students and unemployed.

Andover Youth Members up to U16 can upgrade their membership to Gold Card status by paying £50, this includes a numbered membership card, and for adult matches only, match fees for any match played by 3rd team, 4th team or 5th team in a Saturday league match in 2012, all friendlies and Sunday games in 2012, and all fees for adult indoor nets provided by Andover Cricket Club.

Andover Youth members who have not upgraded will need to pay adult match fees and adult net fees.

There is also a social membership costing £10 for infrequent players who will be required to pay match fees and indoor net fees per the subscription table.

Friends of Andover Cricket Club can also join as Non Playing Members for £10 per year and enjoy membership benefits.

Your membership card will give you access to special offers during the year on bar promotions, and other discounts and promotions the club from time to time will offer.

I urge you all to take up the option of the Premier or Gold Cards. It will give significant savings to regular players, gives you a one time payment for your entire cricket in 2012.

It gives the club, financial stability at the beginning of the season when we have significant costs, saves a lot of administration headaches in collecting match fees and net fees and gives us a wider membership to include your non playing friends and family. We have exciting times ahead at Andover Cricket Club especially with potential ground developments discussed at the AGM.

We are launching this scheme on Sunday 22 January 2012 at the first indoor net session at John Hanson. All you need to bring is cash or one cheque payable to Andover Cricket Club to cover your subscription or split your subscription into 4 cheques dated 1 February 2012, 1 March 2012, 1 April 2012 and 1 May 2012. You will then start to enjoy your all inclusive net sessions for the rest of the winter immediately.

17 Jan 2012 : SIGN UP FOR ACC GOLF DAY - SATURDAY 17TH MARCH AT ANDOVER GOLF CLUB
Due to the huge success of last year's event, ACC are running another golf day at Andover Golf Club on Saturday 17th March. The cost of the day is approximately £30 which includes bacon butties and coffee, a round of golf and dinner. There is also a cash prize for the winning team.

This day coincides with St Patrick's Day and the final 3 Six Nations rugby games, which will be shown on the big screen at the golf club after our round of golf. It promises to be a great day. It really doesn't matter what standard of golf you play (as was evident last year), all are welcome. You can even attend purely as a spectator.

Please let Ali Hooper know before the end of next week if you are keen to join in the fun and he will book you a place.

03 Dec 2011 : CHANGES AT AGM - NEW 1st AND 2nd XI CAPTAINS APPOINTED. NEW SUBSCRIPTION SYSTEM IN PLACE
The ACC Annual General Meeting saw some changes within the club with Jonty Hadfield and Matt Knight being elected as new 1st and 2nd XI skippers. All other captains remained the same.

The officers remained fairly similar as last season with Pete Van der Westhuizen taking over as fixture secretary and a vacancy remaining as chair of bar/social.

A new subscription system has been put in place to ensure funds are paid into the club account prior to the season. Details to follow soon.

03 Dec 2011 : INDOOR WINTER NETS START JANUARY 22ND, 10-12, AT JOHN HANSON HALL

07 Nov 2011 : EXPLOSIVE FIREWORKS NIGHT AT ACC

Andover Cricket Club's annual fireworks display was a roaring success, raising much needed funds for the club and providing enjoyment for club members and the local community.

A big thanks to all those involved in the organisation of this event. This club could not survive without you.

09 Sep 2011 : SEASON ENDS IN STYLE AT AWARDS EVENING
Andover Cricket Club's annual presentation evening that took place on Saturday 1st October at Burghclere Down Community Centre was a successful and enjoyable event that raised some much needed funds for the club.

The evening would not have been such a success if it was not for Lesley Morgan, Phil Knight, Pete Van der Westhuizen, Tim Keighley, Martin Randall, Matt and Georgina Goodman's hard work in preparing the hall, cooking the food, stocking and running the bar and cleaning up afterwards.

The evening recognised the monumental effort that Jock Ellwood has achieved this season with his 20,000 runs for ACC and 36 years of playing, including captaining every team we've ever run as a club.

The Clubman award went to Phil Hadfield for all his hard work preparing lunches, organising tea rotas and generally making people feel welcome at ACC on match days.

Matt Goodman was rewarded for all his efforts this season, as a captain, vice-chairman and for all the hard work he puts in behind the scenes, as he picked up the Committee award.

Other award winners were as follows:
1st Batsman - Ali Hooper
1st Bowling - Luke Graham
2nd Batsman - Steve Ott
2nd Bowler - David Webb
3rd Batsman - Max Souter
3rd Bowler - Pete van der Westhuizen
4th Batsman - Alex Webber
4th Bowler - Matt Goodman
5th Batsman - Richard Woodley
5th Bowler - Robbie Taylor
Young player of the year - James Halle-Smith
Baxter player of the year - Alex Aldridge
